Other Projects

CORE has assembled an attractive portfolio of critical mineral and rare earth element assets, with a uranium focus across Brazil, Namibia and Australia

Oar Graphite Project

The CORE Graphite project is situated in the centre of the Eyre Peninsula and forms part of CORE’s ground holding in the region, which comprises of six contiguous exploration licences, covering approximately 1,520km2 of the Gawler Craton.

CORE hold a 100-per cent interest in the project, which has a current JORC resource of 6.22Mt @ 4.8% Total Graphite Content (TGC). Initial exploration and test work was focused solely on large flake graphite, for which the resource has been calculated, however, recent growth in demand for battery grade, ultra-fine flake graphite led the Company to retest core samples. Test work on historic drill core identified ultra-fine flake graphite, which is in high demand due to its suitability for production of spherical graphite used in battery manufacturing.

In October 2023, CORE dispatched eight samples from two historic holes (OAD001 and OAD004, refer Table 1) to the Beijing General Research Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (BGRIMM) for metallurgical analysis to produce a saleable natural graphite concentrate and to determine the potential economic significance of this product.

Results from this test work indicate a natural graphite concentrate with a fixed carbon content of 95.6% can be generated using commercialised processing techniques, which can generate a premium product.

The Company is currently preparing additional samples to be sent to BGRIMM facility in Beijing, China, to further optimise processing flowsheets and create additional concentrate for potential anode evaluation.
CORE is currently in discussions with the world’s leading lithium-ion battery anode producer and natural graphite end-users, who will evaluate this concentrate for downstream use and guide potential offtake agreements.

Douglas Canyon Project

CORE is targeting million-plus ounce deposits at its 100%-owned Douglas Canyon Gold-Silver Project in Nevada, USA.

The project covers 6.47km2 within Nevada’s Walker Lane Trend, which hosts several significant gold resources, including Borealis and Round Mountain.

Recent drilling by CORE has targeted the depth extension of high-grade outcropping quartz veins hosted in sheared structure, where rock chip samples returned grades including 16.2g/t Au, 495 g/t Ag; 14.0 g/t Au, 423g/t Ag; and 18g/t Au, 398 g/t Ag. The DCD-01 drillhole intersected further high-grade gold and silver including 4.3g/t Au and 616g/t Ag, at the projected target depth, 120m below the surface anomalism.

CORE is actively seeking JV partners to become part of the Douglas Canyon exploration effort, which will allow it to focus on battery and other critical mineral projects.

The Project has an approved CFR43-101 Exploration Permit and is fully bonded with the United States Bureau of Land Management (BLM).
